| THE EUROPEAN
MOTOR CHALLENGE PROGRAMME
The Motor Challenge Programme (launched in 2003), a European Commission voluntary programme, aims to provide aid to the industrial companies in improving the energy efficiency of their Motor Driven Systems. The Motor Driven Systems encompass the Compressed Air Systems, the Pump Systems, the Fan System, the Drives (electric motors and speed controllers), and a transversal module covering Management Policies of motor systems.
The goal of substantially improving end-use energy efficiency is a key component of the EU energy and environmental policies, shared by all EU Member States. The European Commission Directorate General Energy and Transport contributes to this goal through a series of actions under the SAVE Programme and its proposed continuation in the framework of "Intelligent Energy for Europe".
The Macedonian Center for energy Efficiency is a national partner for the Motor Challenge programme since March 2007. Local industrial companies are invited to contact the Center for more information on the programme.
